The city of Las Vegas is committed to supporting community groups that strive to bring accessible programming to its citizens. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs invites arts organizations to present programming proposals at city facilities that include the Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza at Las Vegas Civic Center and Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza at Lorenzi Park.
If selected, the city may waive Facility Use Fees and provide additional support; however, other contracted rates and programming costs would be at the expense of the Event Promotor. This initiative aims to enrich our community with diverse cultural experiences, public ceremonies, and festivals that are accessible to all residents. Our goal is to foster vibrant cultural programming in Las Vegas that reflects the rich diversity of our community. We seek to support programs that engage, educate and entertain residents of all ages and backgrounds that uphold the city’s underlying mission: Building community to make life better.
All proposed sponsorship of programming/events to include coverage of the facility rental will be considered. However, applications must be approved by our Selection Committee and supporting documentation submitted in a timely manner.
